Farhen

Haha.
Daarna couchsurfingmeeting was heel gezellig.

The zoo suppose to be the oldest one still running build in the 17th century, lots of cages are monumental only luckily because the are so damn small! Happy to see that the animal spaces are really big and it is more animal friendly then visitor friendly. There is a very big animal forest for wolfs ect. There are tigers, flamingo's, monkeys, koala's & pandas! :) very nice. Also I visited my family at the birdhouse and saw the kind of animals my mum always said she was.. :P there were a lot kinds of birds by the way. And pinquins too! I stated at a koala a while, in that tree being stoned, it really worked more relaxing then a spa! :P tomorrow I wil leave to Praga, I just ate some rest food of yesterday and i'm i feel so much better then the week before. Arm is a little bit better. I'm not homesick anymore. I'm never homesick but this week i kinda was maybe not really to my house but just to people i met on the trip or before.
But still kinda looks like a teddybear..
This used to be a bear cage luckily it is no longer in use. And the lion cage is even better that's a place were kids can play and parents can maken pictures..
Daarom zie je o.a. zoveel jonkies in opvang.
:) c.a 7uur denk ik.
XD
Codewoord / codeword is : bluebird
Let me know you red it, my dear stalkers and dearly followers & rest Haha.

Vienna

Shower; a bucket that you trow over yourself, called a tabo. Toilet get the key, put the light on in the house and walk down the hall, try to find the light of the hall somewhere in the wall and then go to the left. Couch: very comfortabel. Frige: none. Like it? Yes i do. Exept for the flies.
She is very nice, this is her temporary place near the photoschool but actually she lives in Germany. So her house is fine like this. It really gives me that holiday feeling you have when you walk with your role of toilet paper across the camping. But not in a bad way.
We eated together most of the time but in day I discoverd Wien alone. Which was also nice after all those people, Wien is very nice dough I miss the friendly people of Poland here they are more close minded. I was a shock again by seeing the European prices when I payed more then the double of what I would have payed in Poland.
I disided to skip Bratislava for my own energie.
Maybe I will see pandas today :)

Ipod tijd.

Wij mensen bepreken onszelf zo..

Happy Name Day!?

I've noticed that in Poland there is something bigger then a Birhtday it is called a Nameday! So of cource I am curious of mind so I started to search;

What is Name Day?

It is an old European tradition. Every day of the year is someone's Name Day. People all across Europe have been celebrating their first names for centuries in the same way you celebrate your birthday.
2012 Calendar with Names
Why should you celebrate?
Just ask yourself this simple question: How many people know your first name?
Can you imagine this group of people coming over once a year to shower you with gifts and throw you the best party you have ever encountered?
All in celebration of your Name Day.
In effect, it is like having a second birthday. And yes, nobody will ask you about your age!

Where is Name Day celebrated?

Europeans not only have birthdays, but Name Day as well. Birthdays are usually celebrated just in immediate family. Name Days, however are widely known and celebrated.
Each first name is assigned to one day of the calendar, based on religious traditions, historical events, birthday of a famous person who had the same first name, or on other facts.
For example, the church feast of Saint Michael is held on September 29th, and as a result the Name Day for Michael is on September 29th. In some countries (Greece) Name day is more important than birthday. Gifts include flowers, chocolate, bottle of good wine etc.

My friend has a Name Day. What should I do?

You wish a person Happy Name Day, and buy a present like flowers or a box of chocolates.

So Now You know what a name day is. I laughed a lot because I found out that my name day is one day before my brothers birthday. And his is ten days after mine.
So Lisa is the 19th of November and his, well the English version of his name is the 10th of July.
Mum; your name Erica is the 18th of may so very close to your own birthday.
Some popular names have even more then one name day for example the name Asia because in Poland that is a very popular name. But also because there is a Greece has his own dates. My Greece name date would be the 24th of April. (Sometimes the dates are different in different country's, there are 21 European country's who suppose to use the name days)
Cool so I have an extra excuses to trow up a party :) (not that I need one for that but still) :P
Maybe I will find all my friends coming on one of these dates because some how they are always to busy or cannot make it or sick or whatever. This would make it easier for sure. haha.

Today a very happy name day to: Mark (Ukraine) & Jan (Poland)
Are you curious too? Check your name day;
http://www.namedaycalendar.com/august/9

And why not, why not an extra reason to celebrate your life and who you are? I think it is a good idea to celebrate name days too because there are already enough happy Un-birthdays. And I don't mean the stupid people sitting on there asses and waiting for the birhtdayperson to come and serve them. I mean being nice, having a party, having fun together. Do it potluck or just simple be together and drink something.
I don't personally like birthdays so much because no one Really seem to care about you, just come for their free piece of cake and coffee leave and always forget or didn't have the time to bring it.. And only talk about their selves. But now I've learned that it is not always like this. Because it can be just having fun with does who actually give a damn. So from now on For does who actually give a damn I like to invite you for my name day party the 15th of November (because it is the 19th but that is not in a weekend) Only If You want to come. Don't do it for me, It is gonna be great for sure. :)

So today I've taken it easy, visited a 2 churches, bought some postcards, had a really nice Ice cream in 3 tastes; Brownie, CarrotCake & Red Velvet which was actually good. :) Their were bikes everywhere but I probably lived underneath a stone because I don't know why or what it was. Tour de Pologne and Mini Tour de Pologne races thank you internet, now I know. :P
It was really crowded.

Oh Oh and Frances you said that thing about the teddybears: look what I found! :P Scroll down now ;)

It felt almost as good as one of your (or my mums) royal hugs ;) :)

Morgen Naar Wenen!

English Update

As how I promised an English update;
The bubbles, the smell of bath oil, the silence, the hot water warmed me and relaxed my muscles. I was felt sick this week, had a lot of pain in my arm so I was a bit afraid I had to go back. But I don't give up that easy. Still not 100% but good enough to go to Vienna this weekend.

This week I have taken it easy. Slept a lot, spent some time with Asia and Jan the lovely couple that hosted Marcel and me. Marcel left on Tuesday, So now I am on my own again I really am not used to being alone. It is one of the reason I am traveling alone. Also because some times I feel like holding others back, because I just have to take it easy more. But still I can see the country, today I went on one of the free guided city walk tours of Krakow was very nice.
It was funny because Asia our guide told a legend that I already heard before, as you now I like legends  she told allot but this one I recognized and like to share with you:

The Wawel Dragon tale takes place in Kraków during the reign of King Krakus, the city's legendary founder. Each day the evil dragon would beat a path of destruction across the countryside, killing the civilians, pillaging their homes and devouring their livestock. The dragon especially enjoyed eating young maidens, and could only be appeased if the townsfolk left a young girl in front of its cave once a month. The King certainly wanted to put a stop to the dragon, but his bravest knights fell to its fiery breath. the sacrifice of young girls, every girl in the city was eventually sacrificed except one, the King's daughter Wanda. In desperation, the King promised his beautiful daughter's hand in marriage to anyone who could defeat the dragon. Great warriors from near and far fought for the prize and failed. One day a poor cobbler's apprentice named Skuba accepted the challenge. He stuffed a lamb with sulphur and glass and set it outside the dragon's cave. The dragon ate it and soon became incredibly thirsty. He turned to the Vistula River for relief and drank and drank. But no amount of water could quench his aching stomach, and after swelling up from drinking half the Vistula river, he exploded. Skuba married the King's daughter as promised, and they lived happily ever after.

The moral of this story is of course that you should not drink too much. An advise that fits the Polish people of course! haha, have seen allot Vodka bars here.
We went to a Vodka bar, in Wroclaw Tuesday, I had 2,5 shots in 3 different tastes.  haha. Cherry is nice, Pear is not so good or whatever it was. There where all these dwarfs everywhere in Wroclaw, very funny how Art can make such a statement. It became like a tourist thing, now days there are like 250. I think I've seen 20 or 30 maybe. But what I like about them is that they fit with the location, there is a drinking dwarf in front of the Vodka bar, one that gets cash out of his own bank in front of the bank and a tooth dwarf next to a dental clinic.

Krakow has a lot of tourists. I hear to much Dutch and English here.. :P Vienna will be even worse I guess. The Couch surfing meeting I went to Wednesday was very nice. The police came over because neighbors were complaining about noise...  There is a law in Poland that you cannot make noise outside after 10pm. I talked all evening with an Indian guy, a French boy and a Polish girl. The Indian guy is now my host by the way, his name is Manindra and he is very kind. I feel at home because his house is as messy as mine is. :P haha. I feel a bit bad because I stayed home on Friday night but I felt so tired and I felt like just spending some time alone. Today on the walking tour made allot of pictures they will hopefully be online soon :P :)

Please send a message or whatever as your response :P if you don't know what to write just say: Peach and I now you actually red this story :) ;) I want to know who the silent followers are.

Thanks to Rob Moir for helping me a bit with the grammar, (check out his new CD or tracks because they are Awesome :) )
